Kat Barton

Kat Barton is a Research Associate with the Acronym Institute, with responsibilities also for the organisation’s website. Prior to working with Acronym, Kat managed the Peace & Disarmament Programme for Quaker Peace & Social Witness.

Kat has written on a range of peace and security issues, including producing briefings on Trident replacement and Iran’s nuclear programme, articles on UK nuclear weapons policy and a report for the UN Committee on Human Rights. Over the years, Kat has been involved with several grassroots campaigns on peace and nuclear issues. She currently serves on the board of trustees for the Trust for Research and Education into the Arms Trade (TREAT).
