The missile reportedly has a range of 95 miles, and is alleged to be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. The US and other States have also repeatedly urged both India and Pakistan not to deploy any new missiles.On 29 September, a spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry expressed "serious concern" about the commencement of production. "India's decision," the spokesperson argued, "is bound to escalate tension and add to the deterioration of the security situation in the region."
