US General Predicts Iran Nuclear Weapons 'Within Five
Years'
On 21 October, Marine General Anthony Zinni, Head of US Central
Command, told reporters in Washington of his fears that Iran was
only a few years away from becoming a nuclear-weapon State.
According to the General: "If I were a betting man, I would say
they are on track within five years, they would have the capability
[by then]..." Referring to India and Pakistan, Zinni added that
Iran "is not going to be that far behind their neighbours. They are
on track to do it."
